A hard surface, when shaped correctly, can equal the comfort of a soft one.
I can make this bench in a choice of timbers and sizes to suit. Through tennons and tapered curve chamfers add a little detail to a solid piece. It is very useful in a hallway, providing a comfy place to sit and remove footwear.
